Olan (like Nolan w/o an N) or Owen? These are still unique names right? which do you like better

  • I like Owen better. I think that people will mistake the name for Nolan if you do Olan.

  • Olan sounds unique, but Owen doesn't to me just because I've known some Owens, but I've never heard of Olan before. Of the two options, I like Owen better, but I tend to go for more traditional names.

  • I like Olan for being uncommon and sounding old fashioned, but it does make me think first of Olan Mills.

  • I actually know an Olan and three Owens so I would go with Olan as less common.
