What do they mean by first morning urine?

For an HPT you're supposed to use your first morning urine.. well I go to sleep around 9 and I always get up at like 2 am to use the bathroom.. should I use that urine, or wait until I get up at 6 am for the day and use that urine?

It might be a stupid question but I just don't know! LOL

  • I would personally use the 6am one, I would think it would be just as concentrated though since it's every 4 hrs that your up w/ the 2am urine, so whichever you choose, but if your going straight to the lab, it would be fresher to use the 6am one.

  • I'm not sure it will make a big difference as long as you're not drinking water in between. But go with the 6am one so you will be wide awake.

  • I would use the 2am since it's been there an hour longer than the 6am. But would you be able to go to sleep again if it came up positive?? LOL
