OTC cough medicines for a 4 year old?

Is there anything out there that is considered safe anymore for her age? Her cough is horrible, but no other symptoms at all.

  • Honey. It's natural and you can't overdose.

  • I know this is bad, but everyone will say ask a doctor. Ultimately you should probably at least call, but my 2 yr old her doc says to use a motrin every 4 hrs, tylenol the next 4. Then my sister her 18 mo. old that doc says to use benadryl, so it just depends on your doctor and what they say. Personally with my lo's I've always just took the dosage and cut it in half to help with any colds or flu symptoms.

  • Go to a whole foods, or natural grocery store. They have cough syrup that is safe for 2 and up and its all natural.
