  • Hun, you are going to be old one day too!

  • As you age, your sense of smell declines. Plus, I think a lot of older women stick to perfumes they wore years ago (or even the bottle from years ago), not realizing the oils in it get old and their body chemistry changes, so the perfume not only smells "off" but it's far too strong since they applied too much.

For younger women reading this, the rule of thumb is: your perfume should NOT be noticeable from more than arm's length away. (would that some men knew that about aftershave - if I can smell you 5 minutes before you enter the room and 15 minutes after you leave, UGH!)

  • I agree, I can smell Estee Lauder crap a mile away.. It's horrible. I think with age, not only hearing goes, but so does sense if smell!!

  • Oh, I know! It seems like they all wear the same "old lady" scent that lingers forever.

  • My SD comes over smelling like a French whore. You don't need to bathe in it no matter what your age. Less is more sometimes.
