My 3 year old son has a small odor under his arm after a long day of playing. I need some suggestions on a mild deodorant or alternative to deodorant.

I really don't want to put deodorant under my 3 year olds arm, but on occassion he does have an odor under his arm.

  • I would imagine, most kids, will be a little smelly after a hard day of playing..Just give him a bath..Or clean his under arms with baby wipes..Deodorant is not necessary. I think

  • Maybe some baby powder under his arms when he is headed out to play might help a little.

  • I wouldn't put deodorant on him because sweating is part of the natural cooling process. The smell could be from bacteria. Just make sure his underarms are clean and try baby powder. The chemicals in deodorant can cause problems. Alot of them have aluminum. You could also try mixing baking soda and corn starch with a natural oil such as lavender or vanilla (might smell a little girly but it would be better than stinking! LOL. Just mix the ingrediants together and sprinkle on a damp wash cloth and apply under arms. Don't rinse it. This should work.
