what's a good christmas meal for alot of people thats not such a high budget ?

  • We have always done potluck for holidays, everybody cooks and brings something and there is always more than enough with plenty of leftovers for all to take home.

  • I'm making homemade mac & cheese and a large pot of chili. I'm having each person bring something like salad, fruit and bread. I thought about making a pot of soup too, but we don't have so many people and I don't want to make too much.

  • I know alot of big families do pot lucks and get togther and decide what everyone is going to bring...my step mom and dad do this.

  • Definitely pot luck. If that isn't an option, check out the grocery sales flier(s) and make a menu using what's on sale, as well as anything you already have. Pasta is definitely cheap though.

  • Pasta is inexpensive, but if you can Pot Luck is the way to go. I know our area is having huge sales on Turkey right now too!
