My son has recently been diagnosed with a tarsal coalition on both his feet. That means that a bone grew out a little more than it should have. According to his podiatrist he will have to have surgery so that they can shorten that specific bone in each foot. I would like to get a second opinion. The thing is this: should I make an appointment with another podiatrist or with an orthopedic surgeon?
I know this might sound like such a trivial problem but it is really troubling me. We will have to travel more than 200 miles and I don't want to waste my time or money.
