I had gang bangers on my block. Which meant I had to jump brick walls to get home from school.
I refused to join any gangs. It was mostly probably because I was a geek that tripped over my own feet that they did not want me:(
Just kidding, but it was tough where I grew up at.
Not sure what I would consider my neighborhood. It was kind of a cross between the inner city and the suburbs.....
