  • Paint.NET is what I use and LOVE..free to download and you can get a ton of plugins. There is a great group on here that helps teach you how to use it..Paint.NET Help & Tutorials. Good luck!

  • Well, for a free, basic program I love Picasa 3. It does all the basic editing one would need and it's easy to use. I also have Paint Shop Pro that I use for advance editing. I got this for free on accident , otherwise it retailed for about $90 five years ago. That is a very good program but you need to be well versed in it to take full advantage of it.

  • I've used GIMP, it's a free digital image manulipation program. It has a sharp learning curve but it's good practice if your looking at buying Paint shop Pro. I love PSP for cleaning, adjusting, cropping pictures. I feel it's still the best program to use for red eye.
I just watched the demo vid for Picasa 3 and I'm going to be downloading it to try it out. I like the photo collages and movie maker features it has.
