How can you tell when your baby has found his hands?

And at what age did your baby find theirs?

  • he will be in AWW with them. he will be looking at them and moving kind of funny. like "oh what are these things" or sometimes they can get scared cause the "hands" sneak up on them. lol. it can be around 2+ months.

  • They start staring at their hands intently, like frowning almost. I don't recall the age mine did that but it was really early on, maybe a month or 2.

  • I don't remember when he initially found them but my youngest just turned 5 months and has just recently become fascinated with his hands. He's been able to get them in his mouth to suck on them for awhile but now he stares at them, flexing his fingers and then will grab them with his other hand. It's really cute. he figured out his toes, too.

  • My baby is 9 weeks old and I have found him a couple times stare at them but not play w/ them.
