Cheap easy appetizers...

Anybody have any cheap easy appetizer recipes? I am wanting to bring a few appetizers to my In-laws for Christmas eve dinner. Thanks!

  • Depends on what you consider cheap. I love bacon-wrapped water chestnuts. Bacon, water chestnuts and toothpicks. Wrap small strips of bacon around a water chestnut and bake in the oven until crisp. They are so unexpectedly good and different.

  • You can do bacon wrapped smokies too. Those little smoked cocktail sausages wrapped in bacon then baked/fried in a pan. Also a cheese ball (cream cheese, chives, dried beef) with any ingredients you think sound delicious.

When I need appetizer ideas, I go to allrecipes.com. They have a ton of yummy food idea's! I always find something that floats my boat. =)

  • A relish plate: sweet pickles, dill pickles, olives, peperchinis
    Chesse and cracker platter
A veggie platter (buy the baby carrots, cut up some celery, bell peppers (if on sale), cucumbers, plumb tomatoes...) with ranch dip (get a small container of sour cream and add the dry ranch mix into it)

    If you can't guess, I don't cook much ;)
