  • My mom and Granny's favorite saying,and I still say it to my kids all the time is:"I'd rather have it and not need it,than need it and not have it." I say that anytime they start out the door and think they should leave one item behind. And, as I have learned, needing it is usually the case. LOL. Merry Christmas!

  • Whenever I would get pesty and whiny my mom and grandmother would use a Yiddish phrase that roughly translates to "don't bang the tea kettle." Basically, stop it and get out of my face.
