Holy ......... I spent how much on a turkey??

I went to the store the other day to get my turkey so I could get it in the fridge to thaw - and they didn't have the ones on sale! So I got a butterball. I thought it was $21!!! I checked the receipt today - it was $31 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy s..........!!!!!!!!!! I can't take it back. It's been thawing for two days!

  • 15 on mine. I had a SIL who spent 60 bucks on a ham though. Your 31 sounds better than that.

  • Zero :) We don't eat Turkey at Christmas. For the meal for my son and his wife (they leave in the morning due to work) I spent $26 on a ham. Christmas Day I spent $11 on a pork shoulder roast we will be doing pulled pork BBQ with.

  • Are you sure you got a regular turkey and not a kosher one? That price sounds way more in line with what I used to pay for a kosher turkey.
