Is it normal for teeth to come in "out of order"?

My soon to be 6 month old has her two bottom front teeth that have already come through almost a day apart. 4 days later I noticed another white spot but it is still on the bottom gums beside her bottom tooth. Aren't the top two suppose to come in next? I don't see any signs of the top teeth.

  • There is not an order to when teeth come in. They come in whichever order they do. On occasion the side teeth can come in before the front teeth.

  • There is no true order, however, keep track of the order that they come in. Most of the time, your child will lose these teeth first.
