Homemade Mac and Cheese

What types of cheese do you use? How do you make yours?

  • You HAVE to check out this video!!! From Diners,Drive-Ins and Dives on The food network! Sweety Pie's in St.Louis gives her recipe for HER own mac and cheese and OMG! It looks SO dang good! Im trying it this weekend for Christmas!!!  She starts to make it after 2:05....check it out here and ENJOY!! Mmmm!

  • I make mine the way my MIL did. I just boil and drain the macaroni. Cube some Velveeta, put it in, a little milk,and a whole stick of margarine. Leave it on low heat, and stir to melt everything. I never have leftovers.

  • Cheddar cheese.
    Cook macaroni
    Grate cheese very generous quantities
    layer macaroni and cheese
    Mix milk, butter and flour to make a very runny rue (very runny)
    Pour milk mixture over mac and cheese
    Bake 350 until golden brown

  • love white cheddar. sometimes boil the noodles in part chicken stock if I have a container handy. Lotsa cream and butter. Is not a healthy food :)

  • I put the uncooked macaroni into a dish with cheese sauce (milk, cheese, flour, butter) and water to cover and more cheese, and a little cream if I have it, put it in the oven for 25min, then stir in more cheese, and cover with cheese and cook for another 20min.
