Cleaning a coffee maker?

I don't feel like going out in the snow to get coffer maker cleaner. Is there anything around "standard cleaning stuff" I can use? I was thinking vinegar.

  • Yep, vinegar. BUT. Only fill your carafe with 1/4 vinegar, 3/4 water, or you will have a helluva time getting the vinegar taste out.
