I think our dryer eats socks!!!

so every time to do my dd laundry i always come up one sock short!! i look all over for it! but its just gone!! i do all her laundry by it self so none our our stuff is with it! so ive decided the dryers eats her socks!

do u ladies have any ideas on how to not lose socks in the wash???

  • just short one? Shoot I buy my DD a new pack of socks and with in 2 weeks I have to buy more... WHERE do they GO.

  • They can actually get sucked in through the edge of a drum that is off balance or too loose. We had to get a repair done to our dryer a few years ago & the repairman pulled out a bunch of socks (mostly little ones) and a whole bunch of change (thnx to my husband).

  • Dryers do eat socks LOL! get a mesh bag and put them in there or safety pin them together

  • They have little mesh bags for baby socks etc. Also, if you take the back panel off the back of the dryer, they're likely to be hiding there ;) (possibly along with money, and lint!)

  • Check inside the washer too. We have a front loader and sometimes it gets stuck in the drum/sealed part.

  • Sometimes I find socks in the washer either at the top part of the drum or under the center spinny part. (yes that is the technical term) lol! I have an old school washer....
