How do you make a french fry taste exactly like McDonald's ...at home?

And please don't say buy the ff at md's ; 0 !!!

I've tried every frozen brand and style.

I've tried to make my own and they are great, (but nobody like the "home-fried taste fries")

any ideas?????
thankx

  • Cut your fries really thin and fry them twice, once at a lower temp to cook the inside and once at a higher temp to crisp the outside.

  • That's actually true though! My cousin worked there and she told me the same thing lol! Lots of grease and lots of salt. Maybe buy the shoe string fries :)

  • LOL - I'm pretty sure you are in for an impossible task. Whatever they sprinkle on them to make them so addictive is top secret! LOL

  • I was gonna say buy them at Mc Donalds and re-fry them at home! LOL

Actually, it would depend on the oil. Dont they use peanut oil or something? Maybe try slicing your own potatoes, freezing them up a little and then frying them?

    Not sure but good luck!
