  • Baklava is easy & I make it as a treat for my DH a few times a year (can't make it too often or it wouldn't be a treat..lol), but Syrian bread takes all dang day, so I don't make it as much as I would like to.

  • my Christmas sugar cookies. the dough has to sit for an hour and its so hard not to nibble on it. then once they are all baked i do homemade mint frosting. only it dries too quick and i make a huge mess. the whole ordeal takes hours and for me its just not worth it...but my family loves them.

  • Yes, Baklava would be one of them. Lefse is a complete pain, but oh so good! And sugar cookies, I hate rolling and cutting and rolling and cutting...

  • I'm just learning to cook (yup and I'm a grandmother!) so I have not tried making any traditional stuff yet except a turkey.

  • admckenzie just a question- what did you feed your kids when they were growing up, if you're just learning how to cook?
