What cleaners/polishers can I use on cheap hardwood floors?

I have the fake hardwood floors in my house. I can't use water on them b/c it ruins them, making them bubble and warp. I am trying to find SOMETHING that I can use on them on a daily basis b/c no matter how many times I sweep and "clean" them they always dirty and look nasty. Any tips and recommendations are greatly appreciated.

  • I always used my swiffer on them. Or I would mix regular Mr. Clean floor cleaner with water and use a wash cloth on the bottom of the swiffer and cleaned that way. Much cheaper then buying the pads for it.

  • Have you tried an old fashioned dust mop? They really work great and the heads can be thrown in the washer.

  • Swiffer wet jet! Very little liquid used, cleans and polishes very well. Follow up with hand wiping with Murphy's oil soap or Pledge and a few rags.

  • I got this spray stuff at Walmart for wood and laminate floors. It works really well with a dry soft mop. The cloth ones with microfiber pads. I also have a steamer that dries really quick too. It is by shark and cost $80 bucks or so.
