"we will be cauterizing your cervix" adult content

Is it just me or does that sound a bit unnerving?
I'm having surgery in January to remove pre-cancerous tissue in my cervix.
That's how they described it to me. Even my insurance described it as that.
I know what they are really doing but do they have to decribe it like that? I mean come on. Anytime you hear cauterization all mens ball fly up and hide.

  • I had that done as well. It's not too painful and they numb you first. I was pretty scared but it wasn't too bad. Good luck to you!

  • I had cryo therapy for pre cancerous cells in my cervix and it hurt like hell.
