  • mani/pedi if she likes that kinda thing, or a spa day?

  • You bet, if she still lives on her home clean bathtub and floors, they have a hard time getting up or homemade cookies, I also make really cute bookmarks out of Christmas cards. They love anything! Just a phone call or visit is enough for them.

    i already clean the house
i live here now, so no phone call, as i live in her house

  • I can tell you what we did one year when we were so broke we had grilled cheese for Christmas. We all made a 'coupon book' for each other. My oldest made one that had things like 1 hour free extra chores, and 'one day with no stereo". I made ones for them like Next time I bake cookies You get to choose. 3 hours just with Mom time"...those kinds of things.

A PP suggested cleaning...that is always something my Mom (76) loves when the kids come and do it for her. In fact they make her coupon books every year..and they are grown now. "One lawn mowed , no cookies needed" stuff like that. Gifts from your heart are always great.

  • Maybe a certificate to spend the day together doing something of her choosing- lunch or dinner, going to a movie, museum, take her to look at xmas lights, whatever else she may want to do. It doesn't have to be pricey just quality time together.

  • I agree with the Coupon book idea!

  • I bet if you did some dreaded chore for her like grocery shopping or laundry she'd really love it. I couldn't afford to get my Mom a birthday present this year so instead, I did all her laundry for her. It may not sound like much, but she works 3rd shift and isn't able to use her apt buildings' laundry room so she had like 10 loads to do! She was extremely greatful!

  • I'm sorry I misread your question, I thought you meant you had zero limit, not budget, People have some good ideas for you it looks like though.
