  • Yes mine is working overseas in Afghanistan (soldier). Its upsetting but at least urs is coming home. That's what helps me make it through these times. I just think that someone else is in an even worse situation. My hubby has missed all the kids birthdays, every holiday this year and my birthday and anniversary. But I also think about those whose husband isn't coming home at all. And I'm thankful that mine will be home by Valentines Day.

  • Yes not husband but boyfriend. Nursing home. They never close as long as people are breathing lol. He gets ot during holidays because all the long timers take off.

  • My husband is in construction, and typically has holidays like this off. This year he's working out of state, so we're just glad to have him home late Christmas Eve, then he'll be here for about a week!

  • Yes. He works on the 25th so we are doing dinner/presents on the 24th. He is a prison guard. I have missed many Christmases due to being a flight attendant. (No longer a flight attendant).
