What Is The Longest You Have Ever Gone Between Showers, And Why?

One time when I was about 12 I didn't take a shower for about a week in winter. Our pipes froze and we didn't have water.

  • Probably a week...I was really depressed and lethargic and just didn't care about personal hygiene.

  • A few days, I was backpacking in the mountains, and the water was just waaay too cold. DH has gone 4 or 5 days because of his depression. Then he got all bent out of shape when I got on his case about it!

  • Probably 3 days, due to no hot water. Our electricity was out for several days after a hurricane.

  • About a week with each of my 3 c-sections, and when I had my hysterectomy, and my hip replacement surgery. And, each time, as soon as I walked through the door at home, a shower is all I could think of! LOL.

  • Around a week. I was on a camping trip with a class and it was fall- in Canada- and there were no shower facilities. One girl had hair that looked so clean and it was bugging me that she was somehow getting clean...so I snuck out of an assignment one day and washed my hair in a cold a@% stream. We were all so bundled up in jackets and stuff though, you could not smell anyone.
