  • more, my parents weren't there as much they both worked. It was different then too, we ran the streets and played till dark.

  • I'm less strict in a lot of ways. I let my kids be kids - they don't have to disappear when we have company, I let them go to their friends houses, I encourage them to think outside of the box when it comes to clothes/hair, even religion.

  • My parents were very strict with us and while I was extremely strict with my oldest 2 that are 33 & 30 I am so not strict with my almost 9 yr old. Age mellows a person I think but she is also as well behaved as her older siblings were

  • Less. I was required to be one of those "seen and not heard' kids

  • More, my parents had very few rules and had no idea what I was doing.

  • Less, my dad held a very tight reign over us and I resented him for it.

  • Well my dd is only 2, so I'm not sure how strict my parents were with me when I was 2...but I'm definitely a lot more forgiving than my I don't (and will never) spank, so I will be doing a lot more disciplining than punishment.

  • My parents were more strict than I was. I tried to be consistent with important rules. I tried to tell them what was expected before the problem. But I was not real lenient. My son is way more stirct with his daughter. Funny.

  • I am th same no matter what. I do not believe in being different just becasue my parents are around. My mom might say something if she doesn't agree although they are my kids and thankfully I am raising them the way I was raised so there are not many times when my mother will disagree with what I am doing.
