  • A complicated matter.
Sometimes carrying a lie to one's death, or grave. to keep it always hidden
A lie is between the one it's kept from or told to
Lying is a form of protection at times to know a secret is not revealed to protect an image of perfection, while in a degree of certainty if no opposed is alive to be worried in finding out , it's a truth turned inside out.
so a backwards truth is also a tool of satan to further his perpetual lie as to cloud over, with a veil to some unsuspecting of his devices.
lying is in all reality not a reality, satan is the father of lies.
Jehovah is the father of Jesus, ....the way,(to the father) , the truth of the father, and the life ...of eternal forever living in God's kingdom where lies will never be told

  • All power is committed to Jesus by God the father
    that is truth
All knowledge that is given to Jesus is true
    by his father in heaven
All truth is taught and committed to the son
    Jesus Christ
All things work together for good to those who believe that Jesus is God's son
With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26

  • Anything that isn't the truth. If DD broke a lamp due to being careless and she said "Mom, Brother broke it while skate boarding around the living room." That's a lie.

If something happens that I don't know about, like DD sneaking out, and she doesn't tell me. She's lying to me by not admitting that she snuck out. EVen if I don't directly ask her about it. I feel that is a lie.

Anything that isn't the truth, even if not confronted by it.

  • I find it very interesting with all these answers about what a lie is, that people have no problem telling their children that Santa is real. Yet, if their child broke a lamp in the living room and blamed it on their imaginary friend, THAT would be a lie, even though it's virtually the same thing.
