Did you ever make homemade pizza with plain tomato sauce?

Dd and I did this tonight and trust me it is horrible!

  • I use tomato sauce with other things. I actually made homemade pizza tonight.

  • No, but it's easy to season. Saute some onions in olive oil, with some garlic and basil, when the onions are lightly browned add your tomato sauce, and simmer until slightly thickened. Yummy.

  • I always add seasoning to the tomato sauce since it usually is too bland for me otherwise.

  • When I make pizza, I add seasonings to tomato paste and use that as the base. I also sometimes use BBQ sauce and grill some oniions and chicken to top. yum yum!

  • I've done it like that plus I added a can of diced tomatoes, chopped basil, chopped parsley, crushed pepper flakes, garlic powder, black pepper, etc. I never add a whole can but just enough to give it a consistency. We like it.

  • Oh... been there done that!

    I've learned to decorate it as I call, spicing it up with italian seasoning, onion flakes, garlic powder or minced garlic I always have on hand and sauce in a bowl first then pouring it on the crust. Then its tasty
