Anybody planning on filming their birth?

  • Yes. My births were videotaped (and professionally edited-scored-distributed), lol.

    I love to remind women of what normal birth looks like~
    I get a sense that there are a lot of people watching edited & sponsored programming. This means birth is shown with uber sensationalism.
    Not realistic, NOT doing the average Jane a favor.

  • I have a video of my c-section, actually. My husband even put it on youtube, lol. It's pretty graphic, but still amazing.

  • we had planned on filming our frst but neededa emergency c section so it didnt happen.
    we did however film our second which was also born by c section and i plan on filming our thrid who will obviously be born by c section to.

  • I was planning on it. The first time my mom was 5 minutes late (I was only in labor for an hour). The second time my mom forgot the camera.

  • I am planning to video tape from my view, so nothing below the belt, because hubby will be out to sea when he's born and I want him to see it.

  • My mom had the birth recorded when she had me. I watched it a couple times growing up and it helped me understand how babies are born...more so than seeing a stranger give birth on an edited TLC program, for sure.
