When will you tell your child(ren) Santa isn't real? I found out when I was 10 and not by my parents.

  • I never really kept it from my child. When she started to ask questions about the matter, I answered her truthfully.

  • I've never said "he" is real. 7yo DD's teacher told the whole class (1st & 2nd grade) a couple weeks ago that there's no Santa, so now it's the kids vs the hubby, he keeps saying "yes santa", they keep saying "no santa". They know all the presents are from Mommy and Daddy. I've never used the "santa" excuse.

  • i think i blocked it out but i think around 9 or 10. i know def 10 those gifts were not from santa. so 9 probably was the last christmas i believed. i found out by my aunt and i think my brother. i think its best for her to learn on her own. when she asks i will tell her the truth.
