  • my sister bought me a thick book with awesome craft ideas! Author is Amy Sedaris (from Stangers With Candy). I love it so far and really needed something like this to boost my creativity which has been dry lately. Another really freakin awesome surprise: for the past 2 days SO has been doing the dishes and cleaning the kitchen. It is sparkling!! he NEVER cleans LOL

  • My mother-in-law gave my husband and me a Christmas card signed by both her and her boyfriend (he's visiting from out of state). Inside, was a key card to Candlewood Suites for Sunday night. We haven't had a good date night in a long time; we didn't even have a hotel room or anything for our honeymoon, so this was really sweet. We don't have any money until next payday, so we can't even do a dinner and/or movie. We're bringing the Wii with us (and laptops, lol) and spending some good quality time together while my mother-in-law and boyfriend stay home with our daughter.

I almost cried because it was so thoughtful of him. He'd only just met us.
