  • My DH and I carpool, so what would normally be 15 minutes, is usually 20-30 minutes.

  • I drive 15 minutes to drop the kids off, then another 15 minutes to work. *IF TRAFFIC IS GREAT* So 30 minutes TO work. But I dont have to pick up the kids after i get off work. So, 20 minutes home.

  • Its not so much the milage as it is the time! I woork less than 20 miles away from home. But, I take the back roads (more predicatable traffic patterns) and also dop my one son off on the way. My daughter goes to school in the same building where I teach so thats not an additional drop off time. Anyway, the whole process usually takes us about 50-60 minutes each way...

  • Three, very walkable, blocks. I used to commute in from 45 miles away and spend three hours a day in the car. I moved close to save my sanity. Now that gas has risen so much, it saves a ton of money.
