calling all moms from pennsylvania

Ok so here is what I need help with and I know ya'll are awesome women and will help me if you can. I currently live in allegeny county. I am going to be moving in a couple months as my lease will be up. We really don't want to stay here (in this apartment complex) another year. So I was wondering if there are any moms here from Washington County or Allegheny County in pa that would know of some houses for rent in their area. If not can you give me some hints as to what online newspapers I can look at or websites I can go to or anythng. We are a family of 6 so we need at least a 3 bedroom but would prefer to have a four bedroom. Also my husband works downtown pgh so we need somewhere within a 30 mile stretch. Thanks so much for all the help!

  • Yeah, sorry...I'm in eastern PA! HOWEVER, since you're looking for a 3-4 bedroom, I would look at house or townhome rentals--in this market, it can end up costing about the same as an apartment and the feeling of being in a home as opposed to an apartment building can be uplifting! :o)

Try here: (The link will take you to apartments and houses for rent within 30 miles of downtown Pittsburgh with 3 bedrooms.  You can refine your search on the left column or search again with different parameters.  They seem quite reasonable!)

    Good luck! :o)

  • I'm in Allegheny - I know that there are numerous homes for rent in and around Pittsburgh. Check out to see what you can find. You could also check out the Trib classifieds at or the Pittsburgh Post Gazette's real estate section:

  • Try Washington PA. You can get t Pittsburgh in about 35 min by jumping on 79 North. Rent is fairly cheap there.
