With out taking medication, what is another way to get rid of a headache?

I am 27 weeks pregnant. I have chronic migraines. Which really just means I get a migraine often. I refuse to take medication. Just interested in knowing if there are other ways of making a migraine go away? I usually just take naps, but then it ruins my whole day. Any suggestions?

  • Make sure you stay hydrated. Try to avoid chocolate and certain types of cheeses which can trigger migraines.

  • drink tons of water. I hear OJ also helps reduce the effects of a migraine.

  • stay away from a lot of salt AND a lot of sugar.

  • Dark, quiet room, water, stay away from trigger foods (as a preventative measure), including chocolate, wine, caffeine, and other foods. A cool rag or ice pack on the back of your neck can help, because it will cool the blood going into your head. If the naps help, then take them! Make sure you're able to get as much sleep as you need if it helps to prevent the migraines.

  • 1. Drink loads of water. 2. Slice up a lemon. Put sugar on it. Eat it:) 3. After you peel the lemon, put the skin into hot water. Let it cool down a bit. Drink it. = it is brilliant for headaches. It helped me a lot.

  • Snort a little bit of cayenne pepper. It opens the blood vessels and you get more oxygen to your brain.
