after birth--is this normal? any suggestions?

sorry if i put this in the wrong spot but idk what subject to put it under. i had a c-section last saturday and my legs are extremely swollen. the doctors say it's normal and it's because of the fluid from the birth and cesarian. the docs also said it should take a few weeks for the swelling to go down. but i feel the pressure in them and i swear i feel like theyre going to pop lol has anyone else had this? if so, what can i do to ease the pressure and/or help the swelling to go down?

  • I had 2 csections and both times i felt that way.. It is perfectly normal the best was would be to keep your legs elevated.. and try not to stand up to long.. i soaked mine in epsom salt and luke warm water.. (be sure not to get it to far up. it CANT get in ur cut) it helped alot.. but honestly for them to go away completely it just takes time.. it sucks too lol..

  • Drink a half a ton of water every day and keep them elevated. Keep salt to a minimum and eat plenty of fruits and veggies.
