  • I have a few! I love La Crema Pinot Noir, anything by Periscope Cellars (especially Deep Six, Zin, and Alpha Cuvee), and I've had some Champaigne that was AMAZING that a friend brought back from a business trip in Switzerland. It was Jaillance Clairette de Die. As far as I know, you can't get it in the US. He always brings back some good vino and chocolate!!

  • La Crema Pinot = yum. I love the old vine zinfandels and cabernets ...

  • Ooh, yeah, old vine zins are usually a safe bet if you're not familiar with the winery.
Navarro Vineyards also produces consistently good stuff.

  • I really like Chateau St. Michelle Savignon Blanc, a California wine. Locally I prefer San Sebastian wines from St. Augustine, Fla. For sweet wines, I like late harvest Reislings or muscats or muscados, or anything made with scupernog or muscadine grapes-which you can usually only get in the Southern states.
