  • Heidikans, that is a service that charges you to monitor your credit score throughout the year. If you listen closely, they say your report is free after you sign up for "triple advantage", the program you are trying to sell you. is where you go for a free copy of your credit report. You can get one free report from each of the three credit bureaus per year.  There  is a fee for your credit score.  It varies from bureau to bureau.

  • Why do they charge you for your credit score? Free once a year (for your credit score) and then charge for the next time if it's less than a year; that makes more sense.

  • but you can only pick one of the three companies and only once per company per year

  • will give you a free copy of your report once a year, but not your score.

They will charge you $7 if you want to see your score as well.

If you apply in person for a small loan they usually let you see your credit score for free. However applying for a loan will ding your credit slightly.

Be careful of sites that offer you your free credit score, but require you to enter in your credit card number and/or sign up for something.
