Did you feel that

you did not need to buy so many gifts for your LO.
Mine got tired of opening.
She would have been happy with about half as much.

  • No, but she's older now. Younger ones can become overwhelmed.

  • She probably could have done without some of the things but for the most part she got the things she needed, clothes, shoes, socks (like I filled an entire box with just socks). She only really had a few want gifts, we got her a cheap but nice easel (go IKEA), and she got that how to train your dragon movie, and then we had gotten a little help from sub for santa who got her Uno Moo.
The baby wasn't interested from the get go, but he's only three months and big sis was perfectly content to open his gifts. He also got mostly needs, diapers, bottles, clothes, he got two baby toys and I got him a singing seahorse, which he loves already.

  • Yes, she went into overload about halfway through. I did that with my own kids, and swore I wouldn't with Ela. Next year will be different!

  • My little one did not want or need all the things she got for Christmas. She would have been just as happy with half as much or less.
