Ideas to help a 2yr old who doesn't want to go to sleep

  • u may have to just him/her in bed and just let them cry it out. after a few nights they will get the point that it is time for bed! good luck! i had to do this with my son, and it took like 3 night, but he finally got it.

  • let him see some shosen movies or programs that u shose on tv show that talk abt dirthy persons and how society look at those ppl lolll he'll ask for beth every 5 mn lolll

  • You can't make him want to go to sleep, but you can set a bedtime and be consistent in enforcing it. Perhaps he will never come to like going to bed, but maybe he will come to accept that a certain hour is bedtime.

  • we do a transition period. Nap times he gets to watch a video on momma's cell phone before he lays down and bed time he listens to soft slow music and daddy takes him to bed.

  • Is he/she still napping? Sometimes the nap gives then just too much energy and keeps them up later. It might be time to give up the nap.

    Also, saw on Supernanny to go through your regular night time routine, give them that last "good night", and then sit on the floor with your back to them. If they get up put them gently back in the bed & NO talking. Do it over and over whether there is crying or not. It might take a long time and/or several nights. If you leave the room the same thing applies. Take them back to bed over and over with no talking, staying calm through the whole thing. GL!
