My grandma's recipe:
1# box light brown sugar(2 cups)
1 tablespoon butter
3 tablespoon sugar(white)
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon flour or cornstarch(dissolve in little water)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1-8oz jar smooth peanut butter( I use a cup or 16 tablespoons)
Dissolve brown sugar, butter, and white sugar with milk. Cook until it forms a soft ball in cold water(234-240 degrees).
Add flour or cornstarch dissolved in water. Stir in. take immediately from the stove and beat well. Add peanut butter
and vanilla it will get hard fast. Butter a pan or pie plate pour and let set.
