How much dosage should I give my 1 year old?

My hubby bought fever/pain reliver for my 25lb 1 year old. It says 2-11 years old on box. How much dodage should I give? All his doctors are unavailable due to the storm.

  • I wouldn't give toddler liquid to an infant. It's less concentrated and harder to get them to take all of it. My 2 1/2 y/o still takes the infant liquid.

  • Call the pharmacist and ask. There's gotta be a 24 hour pharmacist someplace. It usually goes by the child's weight, if you can get close to how much he weighs right now.

  • If it says that from 2-11 yrs old than it can do more harm than help if you give it to a younger baby. It must be too strong for their tummy or something else. If you would like to get a good pain killer and fever reliever than check out these two. These are suitable for babies.

  • I agree with the other ladies you need to be careful about what you give them. But when my son had just turned one I was given permission to give him children meds because infants med wasnt doing him any good because of his weight. Called the ER and ask a nurse or a doctor.
