how can i get time out to work? and til when is it a good idea to stop timeout?

  • you need to get down to their eye level, lower the tone of your voice, no shouting cause thats just noise. tell them firmly that they will sit there because of what they did. 1 minute for every year of age. at the end you ask them why they were put in time out . always at their level, never hovering over them. once the time out is over you go back to your normal tone and let it go.

  • everything wears off on kids eventually i no i went from just a look to now time outs so i would try something else maybe a toy time out or tv off or something u see effects them to understand u mean business :)
