  • I'm dealing with it =]

I've only gained about ten pounds, I'm 34 weeks. I'm very lucky to have had a perfectly healthy, almost textbook pregnancy. My weight has had absolutely no effect on my baby or my body. I only started experiencing pain at 30 weeks, but that's because of my baby, not my weight.

I like to think I have an advantage. Some skinny girls just can't handle all that extra weight and so they're completely miserable for 40 weeks. I've taken the extra pounds in stride. Everyone keeps telling me how good pregnancy looks on me because my face hasn't gained any weight and I seem to be pretty happy and comfortable (I fake it well nowadays LOL!).

  • I'm 18 weeks and pretty chubby. I'm 4"11 and 180lbs. Ahh I can't believe I just revealed that! I only gained about 16lbs with my first pregnancy but I think I hung on to about 10lbs of it. You can't tell I'm even pregnant. I just look like a big ol fatty. Unlike the poster before me, I think my weight has effected my pregnancy. I've already been diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes at 18 weeks and was insulin dependent with my first pregnancy. I was pretty lucky with my first though. I was all baby and didn't really experience any major changes in the size of my hips, butt, legs, boobs etc. I just can't wait for my upper and lower rolls to merge and get that pregnant belly!

  • it doesnt sound like u gained a lot so far. i weighed 250 when i got pregnant and now i'm about to hit 300 i think i was at 297 at my last visit but i'm 34 weeks and i've stopped gaining weight... i was gaining like 15 pounds a month. i hate being fat when im pregnant just cuz i really dont look pregnant i look fat! i kept thinking i was gonna start showing at 3 months, and i didnt get a hard round belly till i was like 5 1/2 - 6 months and even now i still get offered a beer and i get weird looks when i tell ppl how far along i am. also with so much extra padding i dont feel baby movements as much as other ppl do its kinda not fair

  • "I just can't wait for my upper and lower rolls to merge and get that pregnant belly!"

That's my only complaint. So annoying! I look like I've already popped out a few kids, but this is my first one >:( My belly is flat in the front, haha.

  • LOL! Seriously! I'd look a whole lot more pregnant if my huge upper jelly roll wasn't stealing my baby bump's thunder!

  • I weighed 122 before I got pregnant. Now I am 8 months pregnant and weigh 118 lbs. I am eating healthy and drinking Ensure to help me gain weight. But my belly is HUGE. That's where it's all at right now. Sucks though because when the baby moves, ITS HURTS LIKE CRZY. I really can't kill the pain. She's always going to kick and move around. UGh.

Like the pp said, skinny people are miserable.............she's right. IT hurts.
