  • Around 9 -10 months, to get use to it before I took the bottle at One year. I used a soft nipple sippy cup first.

  • Same as HANNAHSMOMMY25. Introducing is good:) Don't be upset though when your baby will be wet all over because they usually play with the sippy cup first more than actually drink from it:P Mhaw:P

  • My oldest got water on occasion starting when he was about 7 months, I think.
We skipped the sippy cup with my youngest.

  • I introduced my son to one at 6 months, but didn't start giving it to him on a regular basis until he was one.
With my daughter it was after her first birthday.

  • At about 5 months with each of my 5 kids. My 5mo just got one for Christmas with a soft spout and loves it. He mostly just chews on it which means the water comes out and gets all over but he goes nuts when he sees it.
My 4 older kids all had the hard spout kind and all of them figured out how to use it by 7-8 months and could drink out of it without help by at least 9 months. My older son was 5 1/2 months and would grab his sister's cup, roll onto his back and drink it dry.

  • Between 5-7 months, it was different with each child. Made the switch (taking the bottle away) much easier, one of mine weaned herself off the bottle well before a year.
