My friend chews coffee grounds a few times a day...

she does not swollo them she chews them and spits them out can this harm her

  • It will probably stain her teeth. As long as she keeps her spitting private I don't see anything wrong with it. It is a way to get caffeine.

  • If it's safe to eat coffee beans (like chocolate covered espresso beans), I see no reason chewing them and spitting them out would be harmful.
