crusty scalp & acne

My 10 yo dd has a problem with excess sebum on her scalp that acturally leaves a crusty matter at times and gets irritated. She also has started w/lots of pimples, esp. on the forehead area. Does anyone child have this? What have you found for shampoo and medicine that works?

  • what does 'yo' and 'dd' stand for? i have 2 boys and when both of them had those probs when they were only couple months old and for the first i washed his hair with head and shoulders then tried T gel and after drying it i put olive oil on it then put a hat on him, it took a while but it went away. Don't pick at it!!!! it's hard not to and i am a picker lol but it'll make it worse. for my second son i just made sure not to wash him too often actually only 1 time a week and his hair i'd do each or every other night. i don't know if either method really cured them or if the probs go away on their own after a few weeks
