11 month old dry heaving & throwing up water....

what should we do? the weather is terrible outside, and it is late at night, all the roads are ice. our 11 month old daughter hasn't been able to hold down a bottle for 2 days now. throws it up everytime.

tonight, just tried to give her water, it stayed down for 5 minutes, and she dry heaved again and the water came up.

she does not have a fever though....she is so miserable it is breaking my heart. anything i can try, or should we brave the weather and take her to the ER tonight?

thanks ladies

  • Honestly if there is any way you can get there I would try.........if she hasnt held anything down in two days she is dehydrated.

  • she actually held one bottle down last night, well, a little came up but most of the bottle stayed down....but that was the last one in the past 2 days overall. she was holding down water yesterday, but tonight all of a sudden it isn't staying down...this isn;t making any sense to me....

  • they are both better today thank you very much (her 23 month old brother was also up all night throwing up). it is just heartbreaking to hear them so miserable. they are keeping pedialyte down, and playing in the boys room with their toys right now, much more energy today. thanks!
