  • Neither seems the end of the world to me. If my son is heterosexual....okay. If my son is homosexual....equally okay. No huge thing. Not even a bat your eye moment. If my son had a child of his own at a young age I would like to think I would be calm and reasonable. People make mistakes. People make big mistakes, little mistakes, and some mistakes can never be fixed. But a child is not a "mistake." So I would assist him in every way possible. While my hope is that he completes college, is successful by our standards as his parents, has a home, health insurance, and in a steady relationship with a wonderful partner - if he has a child before all that then we will just take it as it comes. A child is not the end of the world. The end of the world for me would be if something ever horrible happened to him.  Life takes twists and turns and has ups and downs.  I want to be there for him no matter what.

  • GAy, for sure. I would be okay with that for sure.

  • gay absolutely.
i would support my child in either circumstance, but i feel like more of their freedom would be taken away by becoming a parent when they arent ready. i also think my husband and i would be fantastic parents to a gay child : )

i would have a hard time seeing my grandchild potentially split between two parents. thats exactly how i grew up, and it was downright awful. so if family is in my kids' futures, i'd rather it be at a time when they are in a committed relationship.

now if that happens to my kid at 19, and theyre ready to start a family at that time.... my answer might be different.

  • I will answer the question you asked without adding any opinion as to why I am answering this way.

I would rather my child be gay or lesbian than have a baby as a teenager.
