  • no more than 1 hour later than normal bedtime. That goes for weekends as well. The experts say no more than 1 hour. You want to keep close to the routine. Plus I think if we went any more than that he would just become so miserable we wouldn't want to be near him....lol

  • The same time I do when they have school. I believe that routine is important.

  • Sometimes I let her slip by a little. I know I shouldn't. Gotta do better.

  • My 9 and 10 year olds - usually 9 on a weeknight. During school they go to bed at 8:30, but read for 1/2 hour so it's really the same time, they just don't do their nighttime reading. They stay up later on the weekends, usually until 10.

My 2 year old and baby go down at 7:30 always, no matter what night.

My 13 year old goes to bed at 8 every night by choice (he has special needs and is fairly rigid with his schedule)

  • Honestly because my son is such a fighter when it comes to bedtime, I let him live a little during break. He knocks out when he's ready to. I do still monitor him and have him stay in his room since it's just across from ours and I can hear and wake up to everything! Plus we have a 14 month old daughter now so whatever he's playing with or watching in his room it has to be very quiet since his sister's room is also across from ours and next to his so this usually makes him knock out farely early.:) It's not 1am, that would be nuts! But now he has a week left and so I do have to start retraining him to his bedtime but I didn't suffer for a week! I got some form of sleep! Although if your kids are cool at bedtime, awesome for you, I then would keep them on schedule.

  • We struggle with this during our vacation times. My boys are almost 12 and 13 so they are out at neighborhood friends' houses until 8 or 9 but there is a few of them together. So we try bedtime by 10 but sometimes they stay up watching tv, visiting with friends staying the night, or IDK maybe sometimes playing video games.
During school they are home and in bed by 9pm asleep usually within 30 minutes we wake up at 6am during school time
