Since the price of gold is so high, have you ever taken broken chains, one earrings, etc to sell at a jewelry store?

  • I have. I even sold my late brother in law's wedding band set when his wife also died. I won't trust those places you sell throughthe mail.

  • yup... I went to a local jeweler b/c I have heard so many sketchy things about those mail in places. I got a few hundred bucks for it all - paid some bills ;o). I do suggest that you do your homework on the how it's all figured out before you go so you won't be disappointed.

  • Nope. We don't own any gold. But if we did we would definitely be selling right now.

  • I have thought about it but heard you have to be careful where you take it. A lot of places will only give you a small fraction of what it is worth and then resell to someone else. Not sure where the best place to take it.
