  • I like to explore the local state parks and forests. And when I was younger my family did a bubble gum blowing contest. My mom had picutres of us blowing huge bubbles, cracking up, and then having gun stuck to our faces. Maybe that's somethin for older kids : D

  • We go to the movies. We go out and do after school activities like cheerleading, baseball etc. We swim alot in the summer (our pool was the best investment I ever made!). We go out for lunch once a week. We visit friends/have play dates. We rent video games and play them.

  • the aquarium here is free for kids 2 and under, $17 for older children and $20 for adults. we usually buy the annual pass for $50 and it covers parking as well. we go there quite often! the local zoo is about the same.

we have a family game night with age appropriate board games for our 4 year old, ill make hot chocolate and other snacks.

our bowling alley has $1 sundays.

walk around the mall on chillier days, window shop and play in the indoor playground and grab something off the mcdonald's dollar menu in the food court.

go to picnic island (a beach park just 5 minutes from our house)

  • Our kids love museums, zoos and aquariums so we visit those places. We enjoy cooking together and we watch a lot of netflix movies. We spend a lot of nice afternoons at the park. In the summer months my hubby takes the girls fishing and we go camping as a family. We frequent the library where the kids get books, movies and magazines. We volunteer together in the community and we are active in Girl Scouts.
